The idea of creating this store did not appear spontaneously. It is the result of the entire professional career of the founder of 181 Suns, rooted in cynology and built on many years of practical experience working with dogs and their owners.
The founder’s professional path has always been closely connected with dog training. While serving in the police, he worked with service dogs in real operations and real-life tasks. Over time, he became an instructor, training dogs and police handlers, and at the peak of his career he led the training of handlers with service dogs. In 2015, he retired on a service pension and fully devoted himself to working with dog owners and training, further developing his own training methods and practical approaches.
After leaving the police, he founded the project Suņu apmācības skola (“Dog Training School”), initially dedicated exclusively to professional training. To ensure that students of the school had access only to proven professional solutions, the brand 181 Suns was created — offering professional-grade equipment, electronics, and nutrition. Over time, it became clear that these solutions were needed by a much wider audience: many dog owners outside the school were buying “cute” or trendy accessories that did not help training, and sometimes even harmed it, while truly useful, professional tools went unnoticed. Thus, 181 Suns grew from an “internal” project into a full-fledged store for everyone who wants to raise their dog with a professional approach.
Today, 181 Suns is designed primarily for pet owners, as well as for professionals — practicing trainers, sports handlers, and hunters.
